Lowest Rates Guarantee Policy

Cairns Holiday Specialists, The Tour Specialists and our associated websites guarantee to match accommodation room rates and tour operator rates that are bookable in the public arena at the time of your booking enquiry with our office where reasonably possible.

Accommodation: Rates are to be valid for the same period of travel in the same year, same room type and bedding configuration, same booking terms and conditions, for the same property.

Tours: Rates are to be valid for the same period of travel in the same year, same booking terms and conditions for the same tours. Rate Match Guarantee does not apply to one off promotions/price/deal that is or may be valid for less than a continuous 31 days or more. 

The Lowest Online Rate Guarantee does not apply to Tours for the following:

• Special 'member only' rates available to members of special programs or associations (i.e. NRMA, AAA, RACV senior and government employee discounts and other clubs, associations or loyalty programmes.)

• Group rates

• Corporate or Government rates

• Wholesale rates

• Affinity/association rates

• Secret or auction sites where the tour is not known until booking is finalised.

All Rate Match Guarantees are up to the discrection of Cairns Holiday Specialists and it's associated companies.

Our Accommodation Rate Guarantee

You won't find a lower rate online, or if you do, we guarantee to match it subject to these terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions cover all websites managed under the Cairns Holiday Specialists Brand and associated websites.

1. If a rate is found on another website that is lower than the Best Available Rate on Cairns Holiday Specialists websites the guest must be able to confirm (via the enquiry) that the rate is for the same date(s), the same room type, the same number of guests, and the same hotel, and that the same cancellation, advance purchase policies and other terms and conditions governing the rates apply, prior to awarding the Lowest Online Rate Guarantee.

2. The guest must submit the "comparison rate" by email within 24 hours of booking a reservation on any Cairns Holiday Specialists Website to the Cairns Holiday Specialists. This can be in the form of a “Screen Dump” or a website link to the actual booking page of the comparison website.

3. Claims must be received within 24 hours of making a reservation.

4. The lower rate found must be viewable and bookable online by the general public and confirmed online in the local currency of the hotel. Exchange rates and reference to currency converters will not be considered at the time of review.

5. If the Lowest Online Rate Guarantee claim is approved, the difference in rate will be credited if charged to the credit card provided on your reservation.

6. If a claim is for a reservation with multiple nights, the rates for each night will be compared individually based on an average for the entire stay.

7. The Lowest Online Rate Guarantee includes the room rate only and does not include any taxes or tariffs (i.e. federal, state, provincial or local), and cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts.

8. If a lower rate is reserved through another companies website the Cairns Holiday Specialists are not responsible for any fees incurred due to the cancellation of that reservation.

9. The Lowest Online Rate Guarantee does not apply to the following:

• Special 'member only' rates available to members of special programs or associations (i.e. NRMA, AAA, RACV senior and government employee discounts etc)

• Group rates

• Corporate or Government rates

• Wholesale rates

• Affinity/association rates

• Package rates that include the room and other components such as meals, amenities and entertainment

• Secret Hotels or auction sites where the hotel brand and/or the specific hotel is not known until booking is finalised.

10 Void where prohibited by law.

If the Lowest Online Rate Guarantee claim is approved, the difference will be credited to the credit card you provided on booking your holiday accommodation reservation.
